A week before Father's Day in 2020 near Papoose Lake, Jason and Jennifer were enjoying the outdoors with their young children when he saw something he thought was a moose in the water. When it stood up, it wasn't a moose. It made eye contact with the kids and they quickly exited the area.
After this incident, Jason returned with his friend who didn't believe him. On the way to the area, they chatted up a pilot who confirmed he's seen it and relayed odd behavior that's been reported many times, where a Sasquatch will jump in the water and not resurface, as if there's a cavern or a place to hide under the water. His friend thought he was being pranked up until the point where he saw it and they observed it for about an hour. It screamed at them on the way out.
