#79 RICHARDSON HWY NEAR DELTA JUNCTION

Last winter, Brian headed to Delta Junction on the Richardson Highway to help a friend fix his snow machine.  Near the Gulkana River, he noticed a black dot in the snow, which would likely not be a bear at that time of year.  After helping his friend, he stayed the night and took off the next morning to head back to Anchorage.  He felt ill shortly after leaving and pulled over near the Delta River to relieve himself when he noticed a black dot dart from his left to his right, prompting him to remember seeing the same thing the previous day.

He decided he wanted to figure out what it was by checking out the tracks, so he headed back to his truck for his snowshoes and 9mm.  As he approached the area where he saw the creature previously standing, he noticed the size of the tracks, along with the distance between them.  As the ill feeling fell over him again, he looked off into the treeline and saw a Sasquatch very clearly, as it was pitch black against white snow.  He let off a few shots as he headed back to his truck.  He saw the Sasquatch cross the path behind him at about 20 yards and let off some more shots.

When he was about 3/4 the way back to his truck, he turned back and saw it standing in the middle of his trail.  He then heard a scream from the trees, motivating him to head back to his truck faster.  He left things running in his truck that almost drained his battery but was able to start it up.
