Back in 1978, Eric and a group of friend were in the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness area of the Tongass National Forest. During the day away from camp, they heard a scream in the distance, but figured it was an animal of some sort. When they returned to their camp, their equipment was moved, as if someone went through their things.
Across the creek, as they were bear-proofing their camp, they heard another scream. It was during the longer light cycle, but the daylight was going to be getting darker. As they were still concerned about the scream at the campfire and discussing who's taking first watch, they heard more screams from four different directions.
They decided they were going to signal for their boat ride the next day to leave their trip early. Shortly after, movement from different directions began to descend on their location. They decide to start breaking down their camp when sticks and rocks began to hit around them and onto the fire.
They make their way closer to the beach to signal their ride, who didn't show. They decide to return to camp to collect their equipment to camp by the beach, but when they return, their campsite was destroyed. They gathered items and returned to the beach to camp with a watch rotation. As dusk approached again, the screams started in various directions, along with more objects thrown at them.
After several times returning to their original camp to retrieve more items, as they had 2-weeks' worth of provisions, their camp was destroyed again. The final time they returned, there was nothing left, as the remaining items were destroyed and torn to pieces. On one of the coolers, they saw a massive hand print. On the way back closer to the beach, they were in unanimous agreement they were dealing with multiple Sasquatches.
Along the treeline, they heard movement pacing around them throughout the night. As dawn broke, they saw a Sasquatch, at least 14' tall, standing up the bank near the trees. Once it realized they saw him, it stood up and entered in treeline, breaking trees, causing debris to fall in front of them below. It let out a loud scream as it trashed through the trees. They then saw the others when they suddenly heard the motor from the boat approaching their location.
As their friend approaches the shore, he's signaling them to move further down to the beach, as he also saw them. They left their equipment, and once they were back in the boat, they went back and forth on the skiff along the bank, when the Sasquatches began to throw big rocks at them, prompting them to quickly leave.
