#138 UNSEEN S E ALASKA STRANGENESS

Since 1983, a seasoned Alaskan outdoorsman in his early 60s named Sam owned a remote recreational property intersected by a winding creek within the Juneau region. While hunting alone from an elevated moose stand overlooking a dense, 12-foot-tall jungle of alder willows, Sam heard heavy brush-thrashing approaching from his right. Assuming it was his brother playing a prank, Sam issued a short whistle; the movement immediately ceased and an identical whistle was returned from the thicket. Sam whistled twice in rapid succession, which was immediately countered by two identical whistles.

Upon issuing three whistles, the hidden entity perfectly mimicked the three-note pattern before rapidly fleeing through the brush like a freight train. Returning to the cabin, Sam discovered his brother had been fast asleep the entire time. Years later, while hosting a group hunt on the property, five experienced woodsmen spread out in pairs along a 200-yard stretch of the creek channel. Simultaneously, three bizarre events transpired.

At the lowest position, Sam endured a continuous 20-minute audio campaign consisting of a heavy, rhythmic bipedal cadence beating on wood that possessed a distinct, metallic 'tinny' resonance. Concurrently, 75 yards upstream, the second pair of hunters heard highly anomalous, non-native vocalizations across the creek boundary, inducing an intense feeling of ominous dread that forced them to stand back-to-back with rifles drawn. Farther upstream, the final pair of younger hunters were walking along an elevated bank when a stone was violently 'fast-pitched' at an estimated 75 miles per hour, creating a massive splash in the creek directly 10 feet in front of them, followed moments later by a second high-velocity thrown stone emerging from a 25-yard-wide willow patch. Upon convening at their designated rendezvous point, the group compared notes and reviewed cell phone audio logs, concluding they had been systematically targeted by a coordinated multi-creature warning campaign deployed to escort them out of bounds.
