#303 DENALI HIGHWAY E BIKE RIDE TURNS WTF

Seeking a break from the heavy RV tourist traffic, Mike and Christa unloaded their e-bikes for a quiet ride up a steep, rutted ATV trail near Monahan Flats along the Denali Highway. Stopping at a high ridge to admire the westward view, the couple was suddenly struck by an overwhelming, simultaneous sense of dread. As Mike instinctively reached for his borrowed .357 Magnum, he spotted a face peering out of the brush just fifty feet away. Initially, the grizzled, dark-tanned face looked like a rugged fur trapper, but the illusion shattered when the massive entity began aggressively grunting, growling, and thrashing through the brush toward them.

Panic set in, sending Christa speeding blindly down the steep descent, eventually flipping her e-bike over the handlebars but miraculously landing on her feet. Mike, trailing behind to guard their retreat, locked eyes with the towering, neckless, rusty-brown creature as it stood fully upright from the brush, letting out a heavy, huffing exhale of disdain. After reuniting at the bottom of the trail near the marshy road, the couple looked back up the mountain to see the massive entity casually cross the trail twice before unleashing an ear-splitting, air-raid siren scream that echoed across the flats.
