Fred and Squatch Bait hike two miles deep into the dense, overgrown brush along the Kings River to document the site of a harrowing encounter from the previous year. After navigating past massive beaver dams and deeply scarred timber, they reach the exact spot where a man named Daniel was stalked and chased from his isolated camp.
A year prior, Daniel was camped along the riverbank when he spotted a massive, brown figure squatted on a log extending into the water. As he tried to make sense of the shape, the enormous entity suddenly stood up on two bipedal legs, walked up the log, and vanished into the impenetrable brush. Daniel initially attempted to track it for a photo but was unsuccessful. An hour later, as he was packing up his camp, a deep, rhythmic whooping sound began rapidly approaching his position from the timber. The sound was so powerful he could physically feel a rumbling vibration in his chest.
Terrified, Daniel fired warning shots into the air, causing the massive creature to thrash backward into the trees. Grabbing his gear, Daniel sprinted for his life back toward the highway. For the entire two-mile hike out, the unseen entity aggressively paced him through the dense brush, staying just out of sight. Daniel was forced to periodically fire warning shots into the air to keep the creature at bay until he finally reached a roadside pull-out and frantically banged on an RV door for help.
