A peaceful kayak excursion took a terrifying turn for vacationers Janice and Scott while exploring the rugged coves of Southeast Alaska, east of Cordova. After tying off their kayaks in a secluded inlet to photograph a stunning, tiered waterfall, the couple noticed the towering trees at the edge of an old-growth meadow slowly rocking back and forth. As Scott raised their expensive camera, he spotted a massive, dark humanoid figure repeatedly leaning out from behind the tree line to observe them.
The tense standoff shattered when the creature unleashed an ear-splitting, full-stereo scream that reverberated off the sheer canyon walls. Dropping their $1,600 camera lens on the rocks, the couple sprinted for their kayaks as the massive entity closed the gap behind them, emitting a deep, unnatural hyena-like laugh. The nightmare escalated when the creature suddenly appeared 60 feet above them on the sheer cliff face, intentionally bombing them with heavy rocks. After frantically paddling out into the open water, the pair looked back to see the towering entity step out onto the shoreline where their kayaks had been tied, mockingly hurling two final boulders into the water just inches from their boats.
