In the winter of 2006/2007, a pilot named Brian and his partner Casey established a trapping partnership in the Chugach Mountains, flying a Piper Cub to deploy trap-lines for marten and wolverine. While conducting low-level aerial maneuvers to scout an open marshland meadow, Brian spotted a brownish-rusty colored figure standing motionless in the center of the clearing. Circling back for a closer look, the entity bolted into the tree line at extreme speed.
